- Das Stück Competition wird auf dem Prinz Massive Beats Sampler veröffentlicht.

- Erste "Mini-VÖ", möglich durch Sponsoring, auf eigenem Label in England. Single-Zone erscheint auf Vinyl und wird über Promoagentur an ca. 300 DJ verschickt. Sehr gute Resonanzen!!
- Die Tracks Single-Zone und Waterroses werden auf dem Kickzone-Sampler bzw. der Cologne Underground-Explosion Compilation veröffentlicht.
- Erste Live-Gigs in Köln und zur Popkomm 98, mit Verstärkung am Schlagzeug durch Gerd Paris (Les Immer Essen/King Candy)
- Abschluss eines Plattenvertrags mit Sony Music/Columbia.
- 6 der 13 Albumtracks werden in Zusammenarbeit mit dem englischen Produzenten Mike „Spike“ Drake produziert und in London abgemischt.

- Im April erscheint die erste Single Extraordinary aus dem Album Aromatik.
- Bundesweite Radioeinsätze von Extraordinary.
- Das Video zu Extraordinary rotiert auf Viva II und MTV.
- Im August VÖ des Albums Aromatik.
- Im Dezember folgt VÖ der zweiten Single Universe of Love.
- Aromatik kommt in der Radio Einslive Kultparade Oktober `99 auf den zweiten Platz.
- Diverse Kopplungen und Fernseheinsätze von Extraordinary und Universe of Love.
- Durch „aufopferndes“ Arbeiten von rund 20 Freiwilligen, wird zusammen mit 70er Jahre Kultregisseur Roland Klick das Video zu Universe of Love in Eigenregie gedreht.
- Das Universe-Video läuft regelmäßig bei MTV und Viva II.

- Clubtour mit 15 Stationen in BRD vom 17.03. bis 11.04.
- Mit Ralf Strathmann wird das Video zu St. Michel gedreht.
- Im März erscheint die dritte Single St. Michel.
- Im Mai erfolgt die Trennung von Gitarrist Alexander Klick.
- Auftritt auf dem H2O Festival in Istanbul, Türkei. Gitarrist Dirk Schilling (Motorsheep/Filmpalast) springt ein.
- Im Juni erscheint die vierte Single Travel begleitend zum Kinofilm "Im Juli". Das Stück wurde für den Film geschrieben, ein Radio-Remix wurde erstellt und dieser wurde dann die begleitende Single zum Film.
- Trennung von Sony Music/Columbia

2001
- Das neue Album ist bald komplett und soll Anfang 2002 erscheinen. Als Gitarrist wirkt Dirk Schilling am Album mit.
- Kölner Danceprojekt "Le Grand Filou" veröffentlicht einen Housetrack und verwendet dafür den bisher unveröffentlichten bandaloop.-track "Refresh Yourself", VÖ 28.04.
- Sowohl Sarah als auch Electroarnd suchen neben der Arbeit an neuen bandaloop. songs auch den Austausch mit befreundeten Musikern. So kommt z.B. eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen Sarah und dem Kölner Minimaltechno Projekt „Filmpalast“ zustande. Elektroarnd veranstaltet seine „Vierzehntage“. 14 Stücke an 14 Tagen mit diversen illustren musikalischen Gästen.
- Miriam Barth fotografiert die Band.
- Thomas Malzkorn gestaltet ein neues Artwork für das zweite Album.
- Die neue Webseite wird online gestellt.

- VÖ der Single „You Suck“ aus dem neuen Album am 25. März. Diesmal mit erlesenen Remixen von „Filmpalast“ „Ted Trendt“ „Emil von Stosch“ und „DJ Turquoise“.
- VÖ des 2. Albums „Twin“ am 25. März

- the track Competition is released on a sampler called Masssive Beats compiled by german magazin Prinz

- first independant single-release of Single-Zone in the UK on the band`s own label “eon records”. Round about 400 vinyls are send to djs and college radios. Very good reactions!
- Single-Zone is released on bite your ear records`s Kickzone-Sampler
- Waterroses is released on Cologne Underground Explosion Sampler
- Sony Music/Columbia gets on the plan and is interested in signing the band
- first live appearences in Cologne and during the Popkomm `98. On drums for liveshows from now on Gerd Paris (Les Immer Essen/King Candy)
- the band is signing a recorddeal with Sony Music/Columbia
- the work on the first album begins.
- 6 of the album`s 13 tracks are produced together with producer Mike “Spike” Drake and mixed in London.

- Germanwide airplay of Extraordinary.
- rotation of the Extraordinary video on VIVA II and MTV.
- the album Aromatik is released in August.
- Aromatik gets on number 2 in german radiostation Einslive charts “Kultparade” in October ´99.
- the second single Universe of Love is released in december.
- Several appearances of Extraordinary and Universe of Love on samplers and as filmmusic on tv-stations and movies in Germany.
- with a lot of enthusiasm and “love” but without any budget the Universe of Love video is shot by round about 20 volunteers and the german 70ths cult director Roland Klick.
- the Universe of Love video is regularly played by MTV and VIVA II.

- clubtour in Germany with 15 shows from March, 17th till April, 11th.
- third single St. Michel is released in March.
- Guitarist Alexander is leaving the band as a friend and gets back into his career as a doctor.
- the song Travel is written for the german movie “Im Juli”. A special radiomix is created by the band and the song becomes the forth single.
- split up with Sony Music/Columbia.

- In September Sarah and Electroarnd start to work on their second album which is planned to be finished at the end of 2001 and released in early 2002.
- guitars on the new songs are played by Dirk Schilling (motorsheep/Filmpalast)
- besides working on bandaloop. songs, Sarah and Electroarnd are joining friends in making different music for different projects. Sarah is singing on tracks of Cologne`s minimal techno projekt Filmpalast whose singles are meanwhile released worldwide. And Electroarnd is starting a projekt called Gordon Monroe`s Vierzehntage (fortnight) where on each of the 14 days one track should be finished. Several of bandaloop.`s musical friends are joining him on this little trip.
- the cologne dance project Le Grand Filou is using an unreleased bandaloop. track to create a groovy housetrack called Refresh Yourself. Release and good airplay in April.
- Miriam Barth is taking pictures of the band.
- Thomas Malzkorn is creating a new artwork for the second album.
- The new homepage is launched in November.
